Robert (Bob) Crosthwaite is serving his second term in the Maine Legislature representing District 38, which is made up of Ellsworth, Otis and Trenton. He is the ranking Republican on the Legislature’s Joint Standing Committee of State and Local Government. He was also one of three legislators on the State and Local Committee who were selected to form a subcommittee to review personnel policy at the Department of Human Services.
Rep. Crosthwaite has degrees from the University of Moncton, New Brunswick, and Freedom University. For 20 years he was a private school administrator. He is currently co-pastor of Faith Community Fellowship in Ellsworth and was re-elected for a third term on the Ellsworth City Council. He served one term as Mayor of Ellsworth and has been involved in the Ellsworth Economic Development Committee, Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce and the Ellsworth Area Community Center for which he served as Director. Rep. Crosthwaite was also a regional and national coordinator for Special Olympics.
Rep. Crosthwaite and his wife, Barbara Ann, have two grown sons.
