Representative Brian M. Duprey

 Brian Duprey is serving his third term representing District 39, the Towns of Dixmont, Hampden and Newburgh.  In his first term in the Maine House of Representatives, Rep. Duprey was a member of the Legislature’s Joint Standing Committee on Business and Economic Development.  In the 121st Legislature, he was appointed to the Judiciary Committee, and now in the122nd Legislature he is the ranking Republican member of the Labor Committee.

 

Rep. Duprey served in the United States Navy for eight years, achieving the rank of E6. He was the recipient of the Navy Achievement Medal, the National Defense Medal and the Expert Marksman Medal.

 

Rep. Duprey is a member of the Bangor Chamber of Commerce.  He also served on the Hampden Town Council from 2001 to 2003.   In 2002, Rep. Duprey was honored by Maine Recreational Motor Sports with their “Preservation of Small Business” award.  He also received the Maine Association of Broadcasters “Friend of the First Amendment” Award in 2001.   Rep. Duprey is CEO of Duprey Enterprises, Inc., the largest daycare enterprise in Maine.

 

Rep. Duprey and his wife, Carol, have five children, whom they home school.
